PRODUCING

DIGITAL/TV

THE STATE OF RACE. “The State of Race” is a live-streamed series of forums examining racial inequity in Massachusetts. While originally airing on social platforms, due to the series’ success, these hour-long episodes were edited down for TV and aired on GBH 2 starting in January 2021. Below is the final episode of the first season where we reflected on the year following George Floyd’s murder. You can find other episodes here.

LUNCH HOUR LIVE. I produce and direct our weekly show, “Lunch Hour Live,” a half-hour, live-streamed digital series covering a mixture of local news and GBH programming. In addition to booking guests, conceptualizing show topics and scriptwriting, I also shoot, record and edit all media assets for every production.

Here are some of my favorite episodes:

MASSACHUSETTS HIGH SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT 2020. As the coronavirus pandemic cancelled most high school graduations in Massachusetts, GBH and Governor Charlie Baker’s office teamed up to deliver a virtual commencement featuring congratulatory remarks from celebrities, local high school students, the Boston Pops and Governor Baker himself. For this project, I assisted with scriptwriting and gathering media assets.

DIGITAL TOWN HALLS. As Republican and Democratic Presidential candidates made their way up to New Hampshire ahead of the first in the nation primary, a handful of them joined us for our Digital Town Hall series to answer voters’ burning questions. Our most popular episode was with Andrew Yang, drawing over 100,000 digital viewers across several social platforms along with 150 people in our live studio audience.

RADIO/PODCAST

WBUR’s “On Point.During my time as a production intern at WBUR, I had the opportunity to produce and be a guest on an hour of “On Point” about the senior thesis. I also pitched two stories about the mental health of men and the #MeToo movement in the service industry that were selected for production.

The Electro-Library Podcast. This podcast was my first go at audio production. Under the supervision of one of my college professors, I edited and hosted the first two episodes of “The Electro-Library Podcast,” a literary and cultural anthology of cross-disciplinary creativity from the Stonehill College English Department and Creative Writing Program.
